Washer dilemma

Hi all. I just put in a rebuilt wiper/washer in my 79. I put it on all works well but when I hit the washer it pumps well, but it won't shut off. If the wipers are going, it's pumping. Even after keying off and on.
I just put it on and tried it quick, I was solo dad tonight with 5 year old twins , so didn't have time to trouble shoot. Thought I'd ask here tonight to see if there was some help before I tackle it tomorrow.

Thank in advance!

Re: Washer dilemma

You can use the 85 and up washer jar with the separate washer pump. Get the wiring with the jar from a wrecking yard. Splice the wiring on to the original from the pump/washer combo. Works great. You may have a to add a hole on the inside of your fender for the mounting screw.

Re: Washer dilemma

Thanx Elgraco, if this gremlin turns into a bear I might just go to the newer jug.
