Ifs or stock on my 53 panel?

I'm working on my 53 panel and $ is tight. I don't have $1500 to throw at an ifs kit. I'm not too familiar with customizing suspension either. I already have to get a new radiator support cross member since the origional was twisted up. I want a good ridding vehicle and I don't want to go back and redo things later. What should I do? I don't want to lower it either btw.

Talk to NEWFISHER. He has an AD suburban ( same series as your panel) with an I beam ( dropped by sids i think) he can probably tell you what springs/shocks make for a good ride in a stock type set up.

How worn out is your stock stuff? If you are going to replace everything(shocks, bushings, springs(?)) and convert to disc brakes, you may as well swap to an IFS now. The money will be about the same.
