Re: 'Charlie'
Cool! You don't see many swb Sierra grandes. Especially BB trucks. Any clue to what cor the "special paint" was? It doesn't look like much is left!

Re: 'Charlie'
70 Chevelle Black Cherry. I have the entire history on this one, going to be something special. It will be a slow build for a while as I'm working on a couple others also.

I think I have all the pieces now including correct date coded 402, buckets, console, a/c stuff, etc. I only use the best parts I can get for these but it shows. Going to need a set of NOS or close wheel covers ($$$$$$)

No but I have the org title now along with the Potecto plate, spid, VIN plate and door sticker. I also have the salesman's phone number that ordered this truck new, he remembers it well. Charlie Hughes was his runnin buddy.

Love the 4/6 drop idea with the full wheel covers. That's what I'm doing with mine, really love that look.

Re: 'Charlie'
Its been a while but here is a little update.
Metal work on the cab is done and looks perfect Fenders and hood are the nicest OEM I have ever seen Bedsides are flawless OEM Buckets and console are also the best unrestored set I've seen Tilt wheel is perfect Frame is restored with 4" drop leafs (there was NO vin stamped on it!) Rear-end posi is restored Engine and TH400 still need gone through but are both correct date codes I don't have my portable hard drive with me today so I'll post up some pics next week. This is going to be one beautiful truck!

Re: 'Charlie'
Sweet... looks like there was some epic rust in that truck.
Would love to see some pics of the work. Gives me inspiration and hope for my rotted out rockers and floorboards. Gary

Re: 'Charlie'
Reno, can't wait to see it when it's done. Your going to paint it the original Chevelle color right? That's a gorgeous color and the fact that you can document it as the original color is really cool. That's going to make it a special truck for sure!
