Converting Truck or Suburban door to a Blazer or Jimmy

I saw a post where a guy converted a truck door over to a blazer, but would that alse be possible with the suburban door ? The main reason for asking is the suburban door is cheaper on LMC, and if im already going to cut it up, I might as well start with the cheaper one.

Thanks, Suburban doors are $140 than blazer cheaper on LMC, so trying to decide if that is the route to go. At least one of my re-inforcement plates would require some repair, but that would be a $280 savings on just the doors alone.

I wouldn't recommend buying repop doors. The metal is lighter and they don't fit nearly as good as original. I found a set of clean original truck doors for $100 including all the glass and hinges.

Wish I could find some nice clean doors for that. Mine could probably be repaired, but it would be quite a bit of work.

Nice build. Im also swapping in some newer axles under mine, but they are 3/4 ton. I bought an entire 89 suburban to use for the swap, and will probably run the TBI for now, but do plan to go with a 6.0 and 4l80e in the future.

Thanks. Its been slow going for me. My baby girl is now 5 months old so thats about how long its been since I've done anything. I have still been buying up parts so when I'm ready to start back up i'll have plenty to do. Good luck with your build. Lots of good info and people on here. I wouldn't have attempted this project without all the knowledge and expert advise on here.
