Interior is Getting there...
It's taking a long time, but finally getting the interior together.. Still need something for the back wall and I need to dye the kick panels which are the last pieces of my brown interior. Put some insulation behind the door panels. It really did make a big difference. The truck past the "driving 65mph on the highway and talk on the cell phone test" today..lol. The buckets are in really good condition for 1985's..Hope to recover them in black soon though. What do you think of the two tone in the mean time?? |

Re: Interior is Getting there...
Looks great man I am going through the interior on mine as well, sound deadening everything possible. I kind of dig the two tone look you've got going especially since it's grey and your truck is silver, would look kind of weird if the seats were red. Awesome though.

Re: Interior is Getting there...
What type of insulation did you use on the doors? I swear my truck won't even pass the "cell phone at 25 mph" test.

Re: Interior is Getting there...
I used the insulation off of an old dishwasher. It was very dense and only an inch thick..thermo tec on the floor under mass backed acc carpet..I can even hear the radio over my dual flowmasters!!!
Headliner would be next on the list. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Interior is Getting there...
I've been wondering what people do about the seat belts when they convert to factory buckets. I was going to just try to use my bench seat belts.

Re: Interior is Getting there...
You need the receiver from a sub or blazer..should work with your retractor..those are from a sub.. They sit kind of tall, get in the way a little...but for $25 they are better then the brown I had..I will keep my eyes open for some black ones.
