62 K10 frame sees the light of day

I finally bought tires; I just couldn't resist pushing it outside and washing the dust off. It's getting very hard to find American made 235/75R-15's in a black wall these are Firestone AT's... So so much work to do......

I wish my frame was done like yours--nice job. did you rebuild your leaf spring bushings? and if so how hard was it taking them apart?

That looks great

Do you happen to have part numbers for the shocks you used?

Yes I replaced pins and bushings friont and rear. I also replaced the shackles on the front. The front end rear spring mount bushings were really tough. I was afraid the rear springs would be hard but they came right apart. The shop manual says to use a slide hammer to remove the pins; but I used a brass drift and drove them inwards. I'm glad I replaced everything it really snugged up the suspension... I also replaced a couple of broken leaf springs..

On the front I used Rancho RS5008 and the rear RS5114. I'm a little worried about the length of the rear shocks, as it sits they're almost extended to the max.. I hope after the cab and bed areinstalled Things will work out. I'm not planning on any off roading..

on the rears on my 64 i used rs5601 but they do mount differently on the inside of the frame and mount off a bolt coming thru the middle of the frame. there is a chart for length and length of travel from the manuf.
