Lower Yes or No

I'm debating to drop or keep the original look. What would be the price to drop? How much to drop if I do? If I dont drop then next step is paint... 3 month job..they gonna break it down and do it right

Re: Lower Yes or No

Im always for lowering a truck, a 2/4 would be simple and can be very budget friendly. Cut one coil from the stock spring in front and add drop hangers and shackles out back and youre done.

Nice truck btw.

Re: Lower Yes or No

With your current wheel size 2"/"4 will take out most of the gap between tire and fender edge.

Re: Lower Yes or No

I say drop it. this winter i did a 3/4 drop with spindels, shackels and hangers to close the gap between the tire and fender. looked a lot better. I think i payed around $500-$600 not sure.

Yes.

Drop it a little and get ready to want to drop it a lot.

Re: Lower Yes or No

I would start with a 4/6. Do spindles in the front, cut the factory coil (or do a drop spring if your budget allows), a flip kit and shock extenders. Dropping the truck just makes the factory look that much better, IMO.

Thanks for the replies. I guess thats why I debate lowering it. There are so many out there dropped and wanted to do something different.

Let me guess, your going with a stock paint scheme and rally wheels but you don't want to lower it so your can be different? Do a mild drop and enjoy the compliments instead. Better yet, slam it with billet wheels and watch the crowds gather.

Re: Lower Yes or No

BTW- I would NEVER take my truck to a paint shop that started with a 3 month time frame. All that tells you is they are doing it as a side project and it will get pushed back to the back of the shop when they get busy with production work.

4/6............DO IT!!!

If you do a 2/4 you have a 98% chance of starting a "My truck needs to be lower" thread.

Re: Lower Yes or No

I have had lowered and lifted and latest is stock height for now but I wanted a farm truck old man look on this one. Not so much to be different than anyone else but more to be different from what I have done in past.

Bottom line do what you want as your the one has to drive it
