Bagged 66 gmc on Craigslist
http://monterey.craigslist.org/cto/3701384765.html
I have no idea who is flagging but this is legit people!!!! All the hard work is done! You will be hard pressed to build a truck like this for the money I am asking. I have a full custom 66 c-10 short bed fleet side small back window pickup truck that has been air bagged useing 1/2" hardlines, 8 valves, engine driven compressor, and 6 gallons of air. This set up is quick clean and reliable. The truck is also body dropped and channeled with steel plates welded to the bottom of every body and bed panel and reinforced so that there is no body flex or damage when the rockers touch down. There is also a plate under the rear bumper for protection as well. The frame has been boxed and 1/4" steel plate weld in on the bottom for extra protection. The frame also has a 3"Z in the front and a 8" notch out back. It is currently on brand new 20" boss wheels but it is set up to either run its current combo or a 22" wheel all around or a 22/24" combo if wanted. The body has had the trim holes the gas cap the bed stake holes and the tailgate welded and filled in. It has been painted Hot Rod satin black in and out. It has Led taillights as well. The interior has all brand new gauges water temp oil pressure volts fuel speedo tachometer and two dual needle psi for the bags. It has a new reupolstered seat and carpet kit with sound deadening on the floor and rear wall. Brand new Lokar shifter and GT steering wheel has a Pioneer Cd player with ipod/iphone hookup. it has a brand new DVS 7 switchbox with hidden kill switch. All the windows are all original and in good shape. There is also a hidden horn button for a set of Klienn train horns with a high output kit. (Very loud!) The engine runs excellent! It is the original numbers matching inline 250.It has been gone through and has a full tune up with brand new eletronic ignition (no more points) and spark plugs, new belts, new thermostat, new valve cover side cover and oil pan gaskets. New motor mounts coolant flush and oil change. The tranny is a turbo 350 that has been freshly serviced. it has a one piece driveshaft and a rear end with 3.73 gears. The front brakes has been upgraded to discs and the a-arms are converted to big ball joints. I can go on about this badass truck but I invite serious people only to email me to setup a time to look at and discuss all the minute details about this truck. I'm asking 16,000. I am open to negotiate price in person so that I know your serious, Yes if this add is still up then yes the truck is still for sale,it will be taken down when sold. I have many more pics for serious people and serious people only. There is a ton of custom and fabrication work done and this truck is more rare since its a GMC as opposed to Chevy. Must truley see in person in order to fully appreaciate every thing done! Will also consider trades for a boat or other cars, trucks but it must be realistic! PLEASE do not waste my time and surely will NOT waste yours. Thank you =) Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Bagged 66 gmc on Craigslist
that seems like a pretty steep price for such a low budget build

Re: Bagged 66 gmc on Craigslist
that's a lot of money.. and could EASILY be built for less that what he's asking...and it's a GMC--so it's more "rare"--I personally think it's just more "ugly"..

Re: Bagged 66 gmc on Craigslist
What's up here no GMC love apparently...there have been plenty of trucks sold at prices some would call "steep".. If no one buys it then I'm sure the seller would reconsider the price

Re: Bagged 66 gmc on Craigslist
I think it's a nice truck, otherwise I probably wouldn't have remembered seeing it on here. I've always liked the hood on the GMC. It looks a little meaner.
Sorry to see you're having a problem keeping it posted.

Re: Bagged 66 gmc on Craigslist
If you're setting a value by shop rates for doing the work, you'll always have more invested than the market will bear.
Not sure who considered it a low-budget build, there's quite a list of what has been done. I like the truck. Doubt our shop here would be much different on price IF we were building a similiar truck for a customer. Labor hours add up quickly. ( I am sure we'll get tossed in to the "all shops are rip-offs" category) Good luck to you selling it, and sorry you're having trouble with posting it. |

Re: Bagged 66 gmc on Craigslist
I like both the GMC's and the Chevy's. I have never owned a GMC in this body style, but I like different things about both makes and the different years. I have seen both GMC's and Chevy's completed that look great. I won't comment on the price, as things go by a whole different perspective here in the mid-atlantic region than they do on the west coast....and bottom line, its his truck he can ask whatever he feels its worth. I would probably think my truck is worth more in my eyes than most others would, but then again you can't place a price on sentiment.

Re: Bagged 66 gmc on Craigslist
Thanks, I'm in no rush to sell it as it is going to fund another project. I have a number in mind but unless I get that or a equal interesting trade I'm just going to keep it and keep building it up. It is comical at this point that someone or some people keep flagging the hell out of my ad.

Re: Bagged 66 gmc on Craigslist
Seems to me that if they keep on doing it, they are just being ignorant and have way too much time on their hands. I don't understand why people get this way and flag people....is it jealousy....envy....? I say they need to get a life.
