I have twin 10 inch fans with a shroud and it seems to do a good job keeping my 5.3 cool. I have them wired into my ECM and go on and off with engine temp.

I went with a stock F body rad and fans. Just fired for the first time and seems to work well.
If you want the very best I've found, Entropy makes a very nice plug and play swap kit, but its spendy. http://www.entropyrad.com/index.php?...d&productId=21

Stock 5.3 clutch fan in the original '67-72 V8 shroud with the original '67-72 radiator works fine if you don't want to run electric fans.
