6l80e driveshaft yolk?

So I did the research. My current th400 is 32 spline. The 6l80e out of the escalade is also 32 spline. That works out great. However I read somewhere that the angle of the spline is a little different. Anybody had any issues using the th400 yolk?

From what I can find, they are both 32T 24/48DP 30º involute splines.

The 32 spline shaft on the t56 is the one thats similar, but incompatible.

Nope turbo 400 yoke wont fit just got done you need a yoke from spicer i will have to search for the part #

Is this on a truck 6l80e that I will need the spicer? Why does the th400 yolk not fit correctly?

Is this the number ? 2-3-10431 slip yoke
(not the same as using the camaro style 6l80e)

And you might want to look at this; he said he had to machine it to accept the 6l80e seal, but the splines themselves seem to fit. Post #3

Thanks Br3w City. I actually read that post while trying to research it myself. Ok, so if my th400 yoke won't work, can I get a u-joint to mate my driveshaft with the 6l80e yoke? I have the donor vehicle driveshaft in the garage.

I assume you'll need to re-do the shaft anyway, depending how long or short the shaft needs to be with everything sitting in place, you may just be able to have the shop set it up, tho I'd want a competent shop to do so.

This is the yoke part number for a 6l90e P/N: 15897994, which has apparently been used by some guys swapping over from the 3-bolt style for hot rod swaps.

Thanks for the pic. I'm hoping to not have to shorten the driveshaft at all. I am using dingo sliders and the overall length seems pretty close to the stock configuration. I am very confused about all of this now. I thought the 6l90e tranny was beefed up more than the 6l80e? I thought the output shafts were different between the two, but I'm not sure of anything anymore.

Thats the one yes it was a truck trans the yoke will only go into the trans an inch the pitch is wrong same thing as running a mismatched bolt and nut will only thread on a few threads the spicer uses a 1310 u joint

Ok so I'm really not trying to be difficult, but now I'm really confused!! The part number spicer 2-3-10431x that all the threads I have read say to use shows up a turbo 400 yoke! Any insight? An I missing something?

***UPDATE***

So I got the engine and tranny put in last night and today. The th400 yoke does indeed fit perfectly on the 6l80e!! I used the 73+ frame stands and rubber mounts with the corresponding dirty dingo sliders. Pulled the engine all the way forward on the sliders, reused the th400 tranny mount (bolted directly to the 6l80e), slid the tranny crossmember forward, drilled new holes in the frame for crossmember, and the driveshaft fit perfectly! No driveshaft modifications necessary!! The shift linkage is also very close to perfect. Needs a little tweaking, but should be able to work fine!! So once again, THE TH400 WILL WORK JUST FINE ON THE 6L80E TRANSMISSION!!!!

I bought the GM part #22944357 for my 6l80e out of a 2010 camaro
Have you guys been having the yolk cut down to the same as the factory camaro?
I figured if the yolk is machined down to the specs of the original so it can be bolted to the trans then have a slip drive shaft made it would work great. Any thoughts on this ?

my post 6l80e driveshaft ? has a lot of input, but your right you just have to find the right machinist, and its one less part to deal with opposed to using an adapter I will post pictures when I get it back from the machine shop doug
