What size fuse do I use
Found a wire and appears to be an factory fuse maybe of some sort that has melted causing my 72 not to turn over. What size of fuse do I need to put in its place. Thanks

If the fuse has melted then you need to find out why it melted first. Dead short somewhere in that circuit for a fuse to melt.

Use fusible link wire. 14 gauge. Like Square says make sure the short is repaired. Hooking booster cables up backwards can cause this.
