Vapor line or not?

76 SHORT FRAME OFF! DO I NEED TO RUN THE STEEL VAPOR LINE OR JUST TAKE IT OUT AND RUN A HOSE AND FILTER/CHECK VALVE OR SOMETHING PROBABLY WONT BE PUTTING THAT BIG BLACK BUTTER BOWL THINGY BACK UNDER THE HOOD....ANY SUGGESTIONS OR IDEAS ON WHAT SOMEONE ELSE HAS DONE WOULD BE GREAT

Also looking for a lower control arm shaft having a hard time finding one in stock...anybody got one layin around for sale?

You can eliminate the vapor line but you will need to change to a vented gas cap. Just put a nipple on the tube at the sending unit. Of course this is assuming you have no smog check for this truck.
