Rear ends got wider after 67 right?
I thought I read that the 12 bolt got wider after 67, is that right? And how much wider are they?

Nope.
They changed width mid-year of the 1970 model trucks (still 6-lug),... and then continued with that wider width,... when they went 5-lug in the 1971 model year.

55.5 short 57 long that's from the brake backer one side to other

thanks for the info guys. i was about to weld my perches on but now i think im gonna look for the shorter width rear instead.
