long bed u joint alignment
have 53 1/2 ton long bed removed trans for clutch job slid front shaft with with rear yoke still attached from trans how do i reference rear yoke to front slip yoke when sliding shaft back in can see back of front yoke dont want to take front housing apart book says u joints have to in same plane ?

Big ends of both parts have to be aligned the same . Big to Big. If you get them out of phase it will cause problems and vibration.

I have never had a problem just eye balling it very carefully. If its wrong, you'll know. ha
