new.., felt like sharing. hope all enjoy

recently bought this truck from a guy who i had hounded for 2 years to sell it to me. shes a 1965 single cab, long bed Chevy C20, with a 292 inline six, and what I believe to be a syncro mesh 420 4 speed granny box. after 2 years and a few months, shes mine very low cost resto, going to be the new parts go getter truck. would love any feed back. tho she is pretty shes an absolute MESS of electrical. the first photo is of me jest bringing it home, with the second lady in my life. the rest are where i stand as of today. new hei distributor, rebuilt manifolds, and carb. starting interior... mabey paint one day

She's a real beaut,looks like it's custom model.I like them ole six's,had a 250 In my 70 Burb 4x4..I see it even has vacumm assisted brakes..cool truck will make a great parts getter....

Nice start, alum grille, bumper guards, hydroboost brakes, looks to be day / nite mirror, ( need closer pic ), lot of neat parts on it...

Re: i was/ am little stumped as to how the vacuum assist works on the breaks, but however they work, they don't. i was simply looking into just using the cylinder and booster from another 3/4 Ton 70's truck, vs repairing these.

Nice truck! The 292/SM420 should be a great combo, that's what I'm putting in my C-30. (It has a 283 now) Enjoy it.
