67 El Camino face lift
I know it's not a c-10 but while my project is moving slow I thought I would post these up. It is a truck.

I know the grill doesn't look like much but it took like 4 hours.

Re: 67 El Camino face lift
Painting the firewall. I think after taping it off would have been easier to pull the motor.

And the ABS custom bed cover. Spent over a week on it and painted it.
Car is going to the interior shop next.

Re: 67 El Camino face lift
Man, I miss my El Camino. I mean, it was an '83 and the smog controls were so packed into the engine compartment you couldn't turn a wrench, but I still miss it.

Last time I was in an El Camino I was going backwards at 70mph into a telephone pole. Nice truck!

Re: 67 El Camino face lift
Nice Elky!! My neighbor has a 78 that has about70,000 original miles. He's had the seats redone and put in new factory NOS carpet. The factory seat cover replacements they put on aren't anywhere near the color the originals were so he's having new ones made that will be a stock style but a closer color.

This is what's under the cover in the background. This is my dads 56 LS1 6 speed on shockwaves. Love this car.

Re: 67 El Camino face lift
If an El Camino is a truck or not is a topic that always ends in a heated debate. The fact that you posted this in the wrong forum is not up for debate.

Re: 67 El Camino face lift
Your post 1 says its a truck, post 8 you say car...lol, make up your mind.
FYI, it's a car...only thing truck-like is the bed, the rest is ALL car. Dodge Rampages had beds, and there is no way we can call that a truck! Posted via Mobile Device

Re: 67 El Camino face lift
FWIW, the state of Kansas called my '67 El Camino a truck. My '81 too. A suburban can be titled as either a car or truck. How's that for fuel to the fire?
