Shift linkage
I've got the LS3 and 4L60e mounted in my truck but I can't get my factory linkage to work. Can anyone give me some examples of what I can do. Thanks in advance.

Re: Shift linkage
lokar makes a linkage kit that will work. someone can jump in if I'm wrong, but I believe PN aca-1800 will work on the 4l60e

Re: Shift linkage

Re: Shift linkage
I'll be buying one soon to go with my 4l80. Just grabbed an auto column from a fellow board member because I have a manual column right now and I didn't want a floor shifter anymore.

Re: Shift linkage
I used the kugal set up on my truck worked great. Has the adjustable arm on trans so you can get the swing to match the column.

Re: Shift linkage
My 4L60e currently has a cable, but I'd planned on taking that off and using the Lokar ACA-1800 with my tilt column shift set up. Will that not work?

Re: Shift linkage
1997 Chevy Silverado 2500 extended cab. 4x4.
Same vehicle I got the driveshaft from at the junkyard. Two piece shaft. But the back half had the right yoke for the 4L80e. 1350 u joints and was only about an inch long. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Shift linkage
Well, it doesn't... not in all the gears. I believe it could though, I just haven't spent any time under the truck adjusting it. The lever that goes on the transmission is slotted and you can move the heim-joint for the linkage closer or farther from the fulcrum which should allow the indicator to line up. Right now mine is accurate in Park and Drive.

Re: Shift linkage
I used the longest of the two shifter rods from a three on-the-tree column and welded a piece on the trans selector to make the hole about an inch forward and lower (that makes it shift properly and the column indicator line up correctly).
