Cool New guy Here

This is my First time on this site. I bought a 79 blazer. the guy I got it from told me that it is a Trailering special. i'm not sure about it. anybody know anything about trailering specials?

My 77 is also a trailering special, but in 2wd form. I do not know all of the details of what made it so, but am aware of a higher GVWR of at least 6000# and the lack of catalytic convertors/charcoal canister.

Yeah the guy said It came with 3/4 ton axles and 454 original. it says on the front panel when you open the hood that it came with a 454 on the sticker. I do believe it has been wrecked before. driver fender and hood was white inside. the rest was blue. the front panel on top of the core support came off a 73 because of Points.

The 454 and 3/4 ton running gear were never offered in the Blazer/Jimmy series. However, it should prove plenty stout and is a nice looking rig. I dig the wheels. The trailering special was probably more heavier duty springs and heavy duty cooling, if I had to guess.
