turn over but will not start

I have an 81 c10 with a 350 and it will turn over, plus it has fuel going in, but I won't start.

Re: turn over but will not start

I think I made a mistake in the wiring of the starter. Are there any cables that go from the starter to the distributor

Re: turn over but will not start

Thank you very much. I kept reading that there is no wire going from the starter to distributor if its HEI? Is this true?

Re: turn over but will not start

If it has a Hei distributor it gets its power from the ignition switch, if I remember right. On some trucks there is a 12 volt feed from the large positive post on the battery to the fuse block, but I am not sure which years.
