Recommendations on upper radiator hose for a 96 Serpentine conversion?

Just curious if anybody found a good upper radiator hose to use when converting to the 96 style serpentine system? Also curious on the thermostat housing. Couldnt use the 96 style because the outlet on the intake is set at a diagonal instead of stright across which mine is. Currently have a 95 style water outlet that i may try. Any suggestions?

You can get a swivel thermostat housing and/or a flex hose.

I've actually got both on mine currently with the earlier 90's set up.

Thanks JWall. That hose is exactly what i am planning on using. Have it in the garage. Has it worked out well for you? No leaks or anything? The adjustable ends just had me a little nervous.

I have ran the coolflex hoses on 3 or 4 vehicles & never had a single issue with them.

I have heard stories about people having issues with them blowing off but again I've used them on multiple stuff with good results.

Re: Recommendations on upper radiator hose for a 96 Serpentine conversion?

You could maybe use the upper hose and thermostat housing from a late 70s to early 80s 10 series van. I am using this on my 85 to clear my EDC. I have a York 210 installed where my factory a/c compressor was and the factory upper hose ran right across there.
The Van thermostat housing points straight forward and slightly up. The Van upper hose fits perfectly.
Maybe worth a look....

I will definitely check in to that. What was the van nomenclature? A g10?

I really don't know. I think I used a 1982 10 series Van with a 305/350 and air conditioning. Something like that. I don't think they changed much from the 70s to the 90s. Let us know if it works for your setup.

JWall, which size hose did you go with? I bought the 30" but think its going to be too short. Was thinking the 36" may work better

1991 R/V trucks have serpentine belt drive and TBI. MAybe the serp bel castings are similar, and the upper hose from that would work?

Re: Recommendations on upper radiator hose for a 96 Serpentine conversion?

Jonboy, they do but its slightly different. The accessories are spaced closer together on the 96 version. I actually have a housing for the 91 style TBI. I am going to give it a shot and see if i can get the hose to work. I am worried the hose wont clear my compressor.
