Scottsdale body moulding (almost)
Well, after searching high and low I thought I FINALLY found some black and chrome moulding for my 83 High Sierra.
Got the sample yesterday. Almost.....but no. I guess at this point I'm probably going to go ahead and remove the corners, and try to get the old adhesive off. Feels like a nut up in the corner holding the corner trim on. Is that all there is? |

Yup, there's two nuts holding that piece on, one near the tailgate and another on the other side.

Bump. Anyone know where to get Scottsdale trim like the corner pic in the first post of this thread?

Re: Scottsdale body moulding (almost)
No - but would painting your existing corner pieces to match the new trim be an option for you?
Might be easier to fix the two small pieces to match the new stuff if you are not going for "concours correct". By the way, my truck is a Scottsdale but I opted up to the chrome trim (B85) and the uplevel grille (V22) when I ordered it, so those were available options back in the day. K

Well, was really hoping to put it back like it was when Dad bought it, simply because I'm a sucker for nostalgia, BUT worst case scenario I'll go with Silverado trim or leave the trim off all together. I think with the color the Silverado trim might look funny.

Really. I'll have to check into that. No pepboys around here, but might be able to get it online.
Thanks! |
