Hi long time lurker 1st time poster. I am going to look at a short wheel base fleetside big back window custom cab. How can I tell if it is a true custom cab for that year? It has the sails on the cab and the trim on the bodysides but it does not have the custom cab steering wheel I am used to seeing. From the pictures an the description it is a solid truck but is in need of paint soon lots of chips and such. The bed wood is some old pressure treated planks that are all worped and split. 283 with 3 on the tree, the current owner is asking $10500 I think is a tad high for what it is what do you think? Check the SPID sticker in the glovebox. Remember, there are four "custom" options: custom chrome, custom cab, custom comfort, custom side trim.

Price seems high based on your info without pics.
