So found out yesterday that there's a bad wire somewhere in behind my fuse block. I don't really want to tear apart all of the wiring so I'm wondering if I can bypass the wiring and get my blinkers to work. So I pulled relay from fuse block(has power to relay). I hooked up a jumper wire to power side of relay and ran a wire from relay to purple blinker wire in column wiring. The other terminal of the relay I plugged back in to fuse block. So when I was all done, the blinkers will light up, but they don't flash. Anyone have a suggestion on what I did wrong to jump the relay over? I want my blinkers to work, as everything else seems to work. Thanks

I believe that relay is the flasher, have you tried to replace the flasher with a new one?

What you are calling a relay is the flasher and it is nothing but a spring loaded wire in a can that reacts to heat caused by current running through it. When the current runs through it to the turn lights on, it heats up and distorts so the connection inside is broken, and the lights will go out. As soon as it cools a little, it springs back to make contact with the output side again, and the lights light up again. The cycle repeats until the current is removed..

If you run a wire that is hot with the key on, to either terminal on the flasher and then run a wire from the other terminal to the purple wire on the column connector, it should work as normal.
The flasher terminal is fed by the stop/turn/tail fuse in the fuse panel so if there's a break in the power to the flasher it will come from there.
You might be able to remove the two mounting screws on the fuse panel and get to the back of it without removing any wires. It's been a long time since I had mine off, so I don't remember.

Follow the purple wire that the blue arrow is pointing to, back to the fuse panel (down and left) and you'll see where it connects to the fuse box and one side of the flasher. The other side is fed by the fuse and key on power.

Thanks Vet! You've answered another one. I was just searching and doing a lot of reading the last hour or so trying to figure out the last electrical issue (for now anyways) I had, why don't my signals work??...
