Which way to go?
I got a 67 model long bed leaf spring truck from my grandmal was originally a 1/2 ton but waunt to build a hauler out of it so I'm thinking 3/4 or 1 ton suspension with either a 3/4 ton with a stock bed or a 1 ton with a steel flat bed or the more period correct wooden bed. Any imput and pictures of the older wooden beds?

Re: Which way to go?
There is more to it than just suspension. The basic frame is heavier as you step up. The only way to make a true 3/4 or 1-ton "hauler" from your truck is to swap the cab onto a heavier frame.
