Street Machine Nationals in Duquoin, Il.
Is anyone here going to the Street Machine Nats this coming weekend? They're having a deal at their local 1/8 mi. track Saturday night after the fairgrounds close called the Midnight Drags. Sounds cool to me. Anyone going?

I'm going as a spectator. Went to the show yesterday and it's expected to be bigger today. I'm one of the diehards that go all 3 days, from open till they kick me out ...
I'll be at the races tonight too !!! |

You'll get it running. It does take a lot of time, though. Just stay with it. Thanks for the kind words! Yeah, my buddy and I got tired of waiting on seeing whether or not they'd get the track ready, so we both decided to call it a day and headed home. I would have liked to run, but I wasn't convinced that they would get the track dried and ready.

I totally understand and I'd done the same thing. Just hope you got your money back since you didn't get to run.
Maybe we can meet up somewhere again and I'll get to see that beast run !!! |

We did get a refund. I'd like to come back up there and run at some point this year, but I'm not sure when that will be.
