69-70 vs 71-72 front glass and seal
First off, I appoligize if I'm posting in the wrong spot. I'm still a little new to this and don't really get where I'm supposed to start a new thread.
My question is, can someone explain to me the difference between front glass in a 69-70 chevy truck vs a 71-72 chevy truck. I thought other than a few things like the vent and accelerator petal pins, etc. These cabs were the same. Is it just something like the top 'shading'? If so, are they interchangeable, only just different in that if you are looking for the authentic look you should use the right year? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! |

They are the same. The only difference is if you have the stainless trim around it. The trim itself looks the same, except it is seated deeper in the gasket in 67-70. 71/72 used a shallower gasket/trim that IMO is more prone to pop out.

What Ledzepp said. The glass is identical, until you glue on the mirror button for the 72.
