Pre purchase inspection
I'm looking at a new to me truck and wanted to know what I should be looking for that I might be missing on it.
Its a 59, has a newer V-8 installed with a 4 speed manual tranny. Other than that it is supposed to be all stock. Says very little rust which is why I'm looking at it since I've got a 59 with rust in all the wrong places! Brakes are original, she apparently runs. It's missing some parts so my plan is to combine it with mine and make one nice truck. The price is good as well. I figure that if this thing is in good shape I can make one truck much cheaper than just redoing mine. Any suggestions would be appreciated. |

Re: Pre purchase inspection
If it is the Oly area and he isn't the one selling it I would suggest getting Wes at Classic Heartbeat to take a look at it and paying him what he asks for the task. He knows these trucks as well as anyone in the PNW and knows where to look to spot problems. He is also a board member on here.
