Wanted 1966 stepside fender with backup light
Looking in Arizona for a 1966 stepside passenger side fender with the factory backup light pad. See attached photo. If I can't find a fender locally I would like a patch panel of the backup light pad. Call Bob at 520-705-7769 or email rnmcole@msn.com No longer need a fender, decided to use the fender I have without the backup light. Thanks everyone.

That's a pretty good idea for anyone with a shot 66 fender to cut that backup light area out in case someone needs a patch.

Re: Wanted 1966 stepside fender with backup light
I'm hoping someone has salvaged that piece. I have a good fender that I can have it welded in. Curious thing I've owned several of these year trucks and this is the first one I came across that has dual backup lights in the fenders.

The Federal Government required all vehicles to have backup lights starting in 1966...

It's correct that the fender is 66 only as stated above. Side marker reflectors(without bulbs) were made law in 68. Mike./ |

Re: Wanted 1966 stepside fender with backup light
Mike,
Cool beans. I sure wish I could find a patch so my body man could weld it up on my fender without a backup light. The original is beyond saving. Thank you sir. Bob aka:Runningiron |

Only ones I have!
And,these are special as they are for an 8 foot bed(at least the left side is special)with the spare cut-out in it.Way different than the short beds. Mike. |

Re: Wanted 1966 stepside fender with backup light
I have a 66 that's going to be for parts . it has backup lights in it but it doesn`t look like the picture of your fender. you can see mine in the 60-66 message board. the title of the thread is rough 66. Woody

Re: Wanted 1966 stepside fender with backup light
southern parts, Thanks for responding. I have one fender without the factory backup light. I think I'll end up using that one for now. The ones with the backup lights seem to be as scarce as hens teeth. Thanks Runningiron

contagious102,
Those are some nice fenders. I think I'll pass, though like you, I'm not interested in the spare tire cutout. Thanks. Runningiron. |
