Depending on how low you want to go. Looking good

Re: Baged z'ed and 5.3
That depends on how low you want to go, and if your using air ride or static.
You could run 2 inch drop springs for 5 inch front drop. Or you could run a stock C20 spring, and 2.5-3 inch drop spindles for more. Yet still have enough stiffness to avoid bottoming out. |

Re: Baged z'ed and 5.3
You will want drop spindles when running air ride. Without it you may still get the truck on the ground, but you will have some crazy camber problems. Kinda like the older Ford Rangers do when you bag them with the factory subframe. You don't want that, it doesn't look good and is dangerous to drive low on.

Re: Baged z'ed and 5.3
Thank you for the advice. Also I'm seeing some guys build "buckets" in their lower control arms. What's the purpose of that?

Re: Baged z'ed and 5.3
To get it to lay out. If you dont then there is space between the lower control arm and crossmember

Quote:
Not the best pic but you will notice the bag sits 1-2inches lower in the arm. This allows the arm to come all the way up to the crossmember. If you dont you will sit 1-2inches higher when aired out

Re: Baged z'ed and 5.3
You will need to "Pie cut" the upper arms too

Re: Baged z'ed and 5.3
nice work you got going on there. looks good
depending on how your running your bags will determine drop spindles. if you cup your lcas like i did mine that will be all you need to lay frame since you have no clearance issues with the crossmember. 2" cupped lcas should work just fine check out my build thread and that will give you a good idea
