My project
Picked up this '64 C10. They said starter was bad and wouldn't crank. Turned out to be a wiring disaster. Household light switch to power the coil... flipper switch to activate the starter... regardless, after checking out the ignition switch I rewired everything and had it running on day 2... It's an inline 6 and I don't know if it's original or not. It's a smoker for sure... ran compression tests and all cylinders are within 10lbs of each other and it runs very quiet. Maybe it's just oil seals but that may be wishful thinking. I would like to keep the 6 in it.

Re: My project
Good job on the wiring! Looks like a keeper for sure! I hate it when people take something (sort-of) simple and make a complete mess of it!

Re: My project
This is how it looks now... Hood and Roof sanded and primed. I figure I'll get her cleaned up as much as possible and then I will see just what I am getting into.

Re: My project
Small world. Actually got them to deliver it to me. It will most likely move a little slow but steady.

Re: My project
Welcome to the forum
It really is amazing what some people will do to try and 'fix' a wiring problem. It is often more work and involved that just fixing it right.
