Re: Cummins anybody???

I have a 1968 c10 short box step side. I also had a 2003 24 valve cummins that I was thinking about putting into the c10. I looked at it pretty hard. There would be some work fabrication of engine and trani mounts. After market harness. Coolant and air radiators. But the final deciding factor for me was all the extra weight up front and the strength of the stock frame. I wanted it to handle better and I didn't think I could get that with all the weight up front. I ended up putting a 2004 ls lq9 6 litre in the truck instead. That is plenty for the truck. I been very happy with the swap. Plus the ls is lighter then the six cylinder I took out. Good luck.
