Brake Pads (again)
Hi,
I bought the Wilwood D52 caliper upgrade for the '73 front brakes on my truck. The pads they supplied are a smaller contact patch than the existing ones. The pad height is an inch and three quarter whilst the old ones are nearly two inches. They do not cover the disc fully, I assume this is so they can use the same pad on smaller discs. Is there a pad available that has a full coverage of the disc? My geography makes parts hunting more difficult. Neil.

Re: Brake Pads (again)
The Wilwood D52's should accept a stock brake pad.
That's what I would try.

Re: Brake Pads (again)
Yes the stock pads fit but the contact area seems to have become smaller than the older pads I had. I rang an AC Delco supplier and they said the friction material height was an inch and three quarter.
