C-Notch Installation Nightmare!!
I know I should have just installed the C-notch before just to be safe, but I didn't. Now I have my notch powdercoated and my frame is also.
Little did I know that I would have to cut and scratch so much off of my frame! It is a mess back there! I still haven't gotten all of the rivets out after 2 nights of working on them! A chissel and a hammer just doesn't cut it, and neither does a grinder! I should have just torches the rivets out before I had the frame powdercoated!!! So here's my suggestion to everyone who always asks wether or not to install a C-notch; Go ahead and put in on BEFORE you do any painting or installing any parts such as springs, shocks, anything!! |

Use a drill bit that is about 3/16 of a inch and drill the center of the rivet. Then take a unibit a finish drilling the rivet out. By using the unibit it will cut a clean perfect circle. Once you get through the rivet you can take a screw driver and a hammer and knock the other side through the frame.
