Re: Sporting a visor?
people either like 'em or hate them. got a plain unlighted lund on my crew. picked mine up off CL for $40 7 or 8 yrs ago. mine throws just enough shade to cover my new dash pad, & i like the way they look, when you come to stoplights, you can't see them unless you lean forward a little though

Re: Sporting a visor?
like diesel said its like them or hate them. I personaly like the look of them.
But they are not worth buying a new one they can easy be picked up for next to nothing on fleebay or CL

Re: Sporting a visor?
One issue, if you are one of the first few vehicles to stop at a traffic light, when you look up to see if the light changed you likely won't see it - unless you are a very short person. The visor will block your vision - tinted visors less so.

Re: Sporting a visor?
personally i think it fits the truck. the wide square body with the tiny top cab just doesnt seem proportional. which is why im assuming a lot of guys that dont like visors are bigger fans of the swb. but then again my father has had 77 dually with a visor since 1980, and to me it just fits the wide stance truck. and who cares if you can see the green light, if youre late taking off youll smoke the hybrid toys that are lined up behind you

Re: Sporting a visor?
oh also what looks more stupid are those "accessories" that go from the cab to the bed, kind of angled at 45 degrees....i dont know them name because frankly theyre so bad i dont want to the name.

Re: Sporting a visor?
I have one on my 87 R30 (it was installed by the PO) I like it, but I would never install one on any of my other trucks (unless I bought the truck with it on) I just don't like making extra holes.

Re: Sporting a visor?
Well, I guess I am an old guy, what is wrong with old guys, lol.
That being said I like the looks of the visor on the '75 C-30 I bought a while back, but if it did not have one I probably would not put one on it myself. I tried to post pictures, but I guess something has changed with the site and will not let me post pictures that I have posted before.

Re: Sporting a visor?
i can understand not wanting to punch extra holes in the roof, but if it's done right, it's not a problem. heck, just about every vehicle has holes in the roof- anntenea's, shark fins, cab lights, roof racks, rain gutters, cab seams, etc.

Re: Sporting a visor?
Forget which but try jegs or summit. I saw one or the other that had them when I was looking at their dashes. They are cheap. my 22 yr. old son wants one on his 87.
