'50 Drivers Side Air Vent
I had a very successful weekend. I was able to install the original drivers side air vent in the new side cowl panel previously installed. I documented each step with pics in the photobucket link if anybody is interested.
The top cowl air vent and mechanism is available everywhere, but I was never able to locate a drivers side cowl panel with the vent hole, nor was I ever able to locate any repro vent door or mechanism. Has anyone ever found these parts available anywhere? I imagine that some used parts may be available at swap meets. I was skeptical cutting into the installed side cowl panel, but am quite happy with the installation. Template, Cut hole, Welded, Final view.
