Porterbuilt LS clearance question
I have a mild porterbuilt drop member in my 72, and I'm putting in a 6.0L. Can anyone tell me how much the truck oil pan hangs below the cross member?
Thanks, Wade Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Porterbuilt LS clearance question
I'm guessing a lot....go with a f-body or aftermarket pan...when in doubt ask Nate....

Re: Porterbuilt LS clearance question
I should clarify. Truck is bagged and I'm only going to change the pan if aired out stance dictates. Otherwise I'll stick with the truck pan. Thanks you guys.

Re: Porterbuilt LS clearance question
Porterbuilt recommends a F body pan you'll need the clearance up front on the dropmember and the truck pan sump hangs down to low. The f body is like 5.something inches which is quite a bit less than the truck.
Even the kit you can buy from summit or Jegs is like 8 inches I found a thread that had all the specs but I'd have to search for it. I just ordered my f body pan today been putting it off because they are pricey. Posted via Mobile Device |
