heat riser and headers
I have a set of ram horns like in the picture below on my 327. I was thinking about replacing them with headers but was wondering what to do about the rough cold starts without the heat Riser no longer in the exhaust pipe. (I would also have to mount my alternator somewhere else.) Without the heat riser I have to flutter the gas pedal until the cold light goes out. Is there a heat riser for headers or should I just run duals out the ram horns;

Re: heat riser and headers
Is that still working? I had mine rusted open and that's dry weather. Run a enclosed air filter like the 70-80 Chevy. Pipe clamp small exhaust pipe to header then flexible pipe to air cleaner. Something like my 1973 454 had just small adjustment in pipe to header.
