Stereos?

Hey all so got word from my dad( Current I am in Afghanistan on deployment) that the radio is shot in my truck. I got replacement speakers en route but I am planning on replacing the stereo with something newer than 1968. What does everyone else have in their trucks? I don't plan on cutting the dash by the way most likely doing a hidden small amp with a rca inline hookup to a headphone jack for my ipod.

Yeah, please don't cut the dash or remove that beautiful stock radio. There are options that will allow you to stream music over Bluetooth. That's the way to go IMHO, vs a jack to an iPod. It also lets you get away from having to sync songs and playlists. Streaming music from Google Play, Pandora, etc. is a real blast, and less hassle. Just do it right from your smartphone.

JBL makes a cool little Bluetooth speaker for around $60 that you can place on your dash when needed right in the factory speaker location. You could try this, and then if you want thumping bass and such, you could still use the jbl speaker as a means to get this, because it had an audio out port that would allow you to connect it to an amp with larger speakers

Edit. Here's info on the speaker
