Re: Original '50s logos

I'd look for adds from that time frame or photos from that time frame. Maybe Google local big companies that have been in business for many years such as bread companies or bottling companies. A trip to the local historical society, library or museum might bring up photos of delivery trucks from that period that have the paint work on the sides that was in vogue with sign painters at the time.

77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

Re: Original '50s logos

Ive been trying to research this a bit before I threw out the question...but only pics of cars, sounds like a good idea to google companys!
Since living in sweden it doesnt help much with the "local" historian, since I look for a more american look
But thanks for the tip!

Re: Original '50s logos

Here is one a friend of mine built because his dad had a tile company with the logo on the door... he tried to match it as close as he could... of course the truck is much nicer than the one his dad hauled tile in back in the day..

Stewdecky, hope you don't mind, but of got your ride as my wall paper at the minute. Facing the other way, found a pic of it somewhere. Love it.
