65 c10 airbagged

I recently bought a 65 c10. I am goin to put porterbuilt suspention and goin to notch the rear end. But I would like to tow stuff with it. How do u setup the bags for smooth riding and towing?

Someone will chime in that probably knows more than me, but bags will support extra weight better than springs if they are sized right. There has been a lot of talk about notching a tow rig, though. They say that the weak spot where the frame has been cut could be dangerous. Depends on what you want to tow, I guess. I recommend the Porterbuilt notches, though, either way. That's what I have on my truck, and they are built a lot more substantially than some of the others.

^^^ very true. It does depend on how much you are looking to tow. The Porterbuilt notches are built stronger than any other ones out there in my opinion. Let us know a little more info on how you plan to use the truck.

If you are using the Porterbuilt suspension, it would be already designed to work altogether. What system are you looking to purchase from them? The Stage 2 kit, Extreme, etc...???

Most companies will say not to tow with their notches just for the legal reasons,But i fully trust Porterbuilt's notches they are over built vs the frame it replaces.As long as you don't haul over what the bags can handle and truck can handle it should be fine to haul or tow with to me.

There is a company that will make mandrel bent 2x4 rails. You could always go that route, and have them bend you a custom set of rails. Something like this:

I would call Nate or Dave and talk to Porterbuilt directly. I know a few rigs on here that use his stuff and tow, but he would have all your answers.
