Best shock length for 4” lift
So my truck has about a 4” lift on it, I’m in need of some shocks.
I went up 1” up front, and the shocks are too short, which also tells me they were too short to begin with. It has some ok flex up front, no anti sway right now or overload. I put an extra rear leaf from a 99 Suburban to help out some sag it had. Just wondering what shock length to go for. I was planning on using the stock mounts too. Thanks |

Re: Best shock length for 4” lift
most name brand shocks have them for 4", 6", 8", etc. lifts.
or take a shock off & jack up your axle, compress it, take a measurement between mounts, then jack up the frame & let the susp. droop, take another measurement. shock manufactors list extended & collapsed lengths. compare your figures with theirs & choose. |
