Red face Thrift-Air Control knob and bezel

I cant seem to find either of these in any catalogs. I have found a couple of older threads on this topic, but I cannot find a place to purchase. Are these items even reproduced?

Re: Thrift-Air Control knob and bezel

I'm looking for a knob as well. I may end up using a universal knob since its like an 1/8" shaft with flat side on it. I have a knob, but the hole is egged out and fits loose.

Re: Thrift-Air Control knob and bezel

I haven't given up on trying to find one myself, but I did this as a long term replacement. I bored it out, made a small hole on the side and tapped it for the set screw. Took about a half hour and works great.

Re: Thrift-Air Control knob and bezel

Pretty cool! When I got my truck back, all of the heater controls were disassembled. Apparently someone lost the knob and bezel for the single thrift air control setup. I cannot believe no one reproduces these. Anyone have any other options to locate a set?

Re: Thrift-Air Control knob and bezel

Aren't they the same ( without the chrome band) as the Headlamp, wiper and choke knobs? Mine all look the same, have the same set screw etc. 1965

Re: Thrift-Air Control knob and bezel

Mine are like this on my 65:
Headlight knob is attached to the shaft and comes out as one piece.

Wiper knob has a hex hole in the back and goes over a nut on the switch.

Choke knob is threaded and screws onto the choke cable.

The thrift air knob has a set screw and goes onto a D shaped shaft.

Re: Thrift-Air Control knob and bezel

Both my headlamp knob and wiper knob have a threadedset screw that secure them to the shaft. They mabey wrong, but work and look great. I'm going to find a matching one for my heater knob and upgrade it to the chrome ring set screw style like my others
