brake light help

Ok I can not get my brake lights to work in my 62. I got head lights tail lights running lights and dome light. I know the oil light works but not sure about the other dash lights yet. My question is do the brake lights run threw the turn signal switch in the steering column? I do not have turn signals either. I have poer to the brake switch and threw it when I press on the brake. How does th brake lights and turn signals wire up. Please help.
Thanks

Re: brake light help

The power goes into the turn switch & feeds to the rear stop/turn lights when the switch is not on. When the turn switch is activated the respective light flashes while the other side stays on.
