Re: is this worth 3800

It does look workable but if you are buying it for the tub, $3800,00 is a lot of cash. How much could you sell the drivetrain for or any other parts you don't need?

Where is this place? I see other 67-72's in the pictures. I drive through there on occasion. It is a junk yard? Personal residence with someones collection? I would not mind to stop by and see what else might be for sale.

Re: is this worth 3800

I see it has a single wall top. Some would buy it just for the top. I think 3800 is a little steep but not bad. It has a lot of potential and has desirable options though.

Re: is this worth 3800

I have owned 2 blazers both of which were running and driving when I bought them and I paid less than $3800 for them. I passed on a running 72 jimmy for $1500 because it was bad timing ( i know stupid) I know blazers are more scarce in some areas than others, but I couldn't see spending $3800 on that blazer. Just my opinion.

In northwest ohio it's pretty tough to find a mildly rust free blazer for cheap. It seems like ones with small amount of rust and running good run 5-6k around here, but others in my area on this forum might have found better deals.

Re: is this worth 3800

I found mine running and driving with new Goodrich motor for two Grand. I'd pass personally. I bought a parts blazer similar to That for 350 bucks. Didn't have engine or Trans but had a good tub and doors which I Needed and the top off It. Looks like its Missing a lot for That Price.

Re: is this worth 3800

You would be money ahead to buy a $6000 blazer that is a driver and has a decent paint job. That one needs way too much work for the price.

I paid $750 for this one last year and I thought I paid too much. It does run like a mosquito killer!

Re: is this worth 3800

Sounds like I should prolly pass on it unless he drops the price dramatically. He said floor and rocker boxes have rust. Engine ran when parted years ago and column comes with. No front clip. Wat should I expect to pay for a solid mostly rust free tub?

Re: is this worth 3800

I think no, I bought this for $2000 and it came with tons of stuff: tilt, extra doors, Dynacorn EDP coated body parts, etc. Looks to me like a lot less than $3800.00.

Re: is this worth 3800

I would pay up to a couple grand for A good tub with no Rust. Rust Is Really the most work to fix on these trucks. Drivetrain is easy bolt on stuff compared to Bodywork.

Re: is this worth 3800

Best to buy one from out west and ship it home. A rust free tub in the rust belt is worth considerably more than out there. Iirc there was one on the for sale board here posted by a memeber in Oklahoma I think. I paid $650 for my tub but no front clip and Im s tackling the normal rocker area repair.

Yeah I seen that tub too. It makes me nervous buying something site unseen. I think someone should go west and buy ten grand in rust free blazers and double there my around the rust belt haha

I was scared to buy my parts blazer too off eBay. But I figured for $350 if it wasn't any good besides the top I wasn't out much. All I needed was the hardtop and doors off of it. I ended up re selling the rest for 200 to a guy in south jersey. If it isn't a running driving truck it's worth a lot less. Considering that one is missing the whole front end that could be another grand to get those pieces.

Re: is this worth 3800

It would be a good deal if it were rust free, but it isn't. However in your neck of the woods maybe that is considered "rust free"? I would want a better tub for all that work involved.
