New from Berlin / Germany

Greetings from Berlin, Germany!

I’m completely new to the Classic Truck Community although I own a 65 Mustang for 9 years which I restored partly by myself.

This year in July I purchased a 1959 Chevy Apache Fleetside SB from a 70 year old California owner. After all it took 2 months untill the truck arrived here in Germany. A few smaller things I need to do before I can bring it official on the road. The admission requirements in Germany are terrible

Last year the pre-owner planted in a 327cui Corvette motor and a 350 transmission. Before the truck had a straight 6 motor and manual transmission. It's not a show car but a very good driver.

In the future my aim is to do a frame off restoration. But because of little time and of course always little money I will it put back untill my 5 year old son gets older and can lend me a helping hand. In the meantime hopefully I will have some fun driving the truck

Oh, I named me after the drink because I love this stuff
...and I choosed this avatar because that is what I am in the real life

Any info you can help me with on this truck would be great and appreciated!
I am glad that I found this awesome Forum!

Best regards, Ben (hope you understand my english)

Welcome to the board Ben!
I know the welcome is kind of late but I haven´t been on here in ages.
Besser zu spät als nie

Nice Apache! I saw two nice ones when I was looking for my 68 back in 2006.

If you are ever in the Nuernberg area, let me know.
