Thinking about buying a 69 gmc with a canadian 350.What if anything does that differ from A regular 350. Good bad or indifferent?

As a Canadian....I can pretty much assure you....there is no 'Canadian '350'.
If its a small block Chevy...they are all the same...trust me.
Where did you hear the reference and who from?
It might be the truck was assembled in Canada but that doesn't mean its any different. Back in that era the trucks were all identical on both sides of the border.
That said here is an interesting piece of car info tho'....Canadian Pontiacs in the 60's generally used Chevy engines as the standard engines. In other words you see a lot of mid 60's Pontiacs with 283's and 327's in them up here. Pontiac didn't do the standard 389 or 400 thing up here in that era, although they could be ordered as an optioned up power choice.....just not standard.

Couldn't be much if at all different i wouldn't think.. Never heard of a Canadian 350 before.

Take off hoser! [joke, and an old one at that]. The difference is not there they are the same, now a Mexican motor that is a different story, some of those had higher nickel content in the blocks. That was a late 70's early 80's thing though I think. As a side note that is where the Goodwrench motors used to come from[Mexico]. Jim

The only difference that I know between Canadian and US built trucks was that GMC had the 910, 920 and 930 series in Canada. This was for 69 and earlier trucks and changed to 1500 etc. in 1970.

The Canadian trucks should be in better shape than ours. Seeing how they have free health care, the owners should have more cash to maintain and restore them!
