Help on name of part
I am looking at another 48 to build. It has a few parts missing. What is the name of the lower valance that fits behind the grill. It has the two ears that mount to the radiator frame. I don't think they make a reproduction.

Re: Help on name of part
Are you talking about the radiator support? Or the part of the grill that went strait up and down?

Re: Help on name of part
The lower valance I guess you would call it that mounts to the bottom of the radiator support and bolts to the lower part of the inner fenders

Re: Help on name of part
Sounds like the grill filler panel. Go to chevs of the 40s.com and they have that. I has a flat spot with a hole in it for hand starting your engine.

Re: Help on name of part
That's it, lower Grill filler panel. Thank you. I do see you can buy them aftermarket. The truck I am looking at does not seem to have one. Hopefully I can find a used one, dont need a new one for this build.
Thanks all |
