Crew cab owners: What subwoofer box are you using?
I'd like to put a 10" or 12" sub in my crew cab but it is incredibly tight behind the rear seat. What are you guys running? I've built sub enclosures before but I was hoping to avoid having to do that. Width is pretty unlimited. The max height is 15". The depth at the bottom of the box is 6.5" max and the top max is 3". I've looked at a ton of boxes online and so far none of them are shallow enough to fit.

I am fixing to build a box for 4 10's in my regular cab. I will put up pics I interested. I will be using Sundown SD10's. You can get them on woofersetc.com ... In my opinion one of the best shallow subs on the market

I used these self powered ones under the seat, quite happy with them. They don't rattle the moldings loose but sure add the needed oomph
Lanzar VCTBS10 800-Watt Max 10-Inch Super Slim... Reasonable price and amp, speaker and enclosure all in one.

Im running just one SD-2 10" in the trunk of my 65 Nova and it sounds really good for only getting 300 watts. Its also in a prefab box which is nice and small and fits behind the seat in my 77 pickup as well. Running 4 of them should work great. What amp are you gonna be running? |

Thanks for the replies. I've been looking specifically at truck boxes but most of them are to big. One of these might fit but they are $80/$90. http://www.rtboxes.com/sub-boxes-woo...shallow-mount/

I spoke to soon. I found those R/T boxes for $40/$50 here: http://www.speakerboxesusa.com/sub-b...shallow-mount/ That's not quite so bad.

Re: Crew cab owners: What subwoofer box are you using?
this is in my 04 could do similar in a square was an easy build has amp on the other side. hits pretty good but doesnt take any room at all. less room in my 04 with the vents than a sqaure body would. have about 30 bucks in the box and vinyl.
