No start or power at key but have lights.

Went today to back the K30 out of the shed and I had nothing at the key. I have headlights when I turn them on but nothing in the cab. No glow plug light, wont turn over or anything. The truck has been starting up just fine. It has been sitting in the shed for three or four days without being started. Not sure why all of a sudden I have this condition. I have taken the dash pad off and have been getting ready to revamp the heater box but that is it.

Ignition switch, starter soleniod or wire? My 03 2500HD fuel pump went out and was going to back the K30 out and put the 03 in. Guess I will be working on this first. Any ideas?

Check the fusible link on the firewall or at the starter.

Re: No start or power at key but have lights.

Found it. I took my screwdriver and jump across the post on the firewall link/transfer block and it must have a bad connection. I am going to have to take it apart and clean it. I had left the key on with the heater on high so when I came across the issue it would turn the blower fan on and I would know what the problem was.

I was going to suggest looking there, I had the same problem, and finally a friend found that I had a broken wire at that junction. Glad you found the solution.
