Oil pressure gauge
My oil pressure gauge hasn't worked in awhile so I figured I'd replace it. My question is do I need a specific one for a 72 c/10 with a 350? I was looking at used ones that different people are selling on here but some say 80lb oil pressure gauge that sell for more money an some don't say 80lb an sell for less? Which one would work for my truck an any advice on installing it would be appreciated I'm new to this. Thank you

Re: Oil pressure gauge
Either one will work. The best advice is don't start the engine with the gauge removed.

Re: Oil pressure gauge
80 lb ones came on big block trucks if I recall. They do generally catch a few more bucks in the marketplace though.
Oh yeah, as Rat said, either one will work fine. A new compression fitting should be used, or even better, a new oil line (not the plastic ones).

Thank you guys for the help. Now to hit up the for sale forum an pick up one. I've never pulled the gauge cluster... I've seen helpful post on here I'm going to use so keep your fingers crossed.

Re: Oil pressure gauge
It's really not that hard. I've had mine out so many times it only takes me 10 minutes.
